JMM launches ‘Kab Milega’ campaign in response to BJP’s ‘Mila Kya’

Jamshedpur, October 2: As the Jharkhand Assembly elections approach, the BJP has launched a campaign under the tagline ‘Mila Kya’, questioning the ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha’s (JMM) fulfillment of election promises. In retaliation, the JMM has announced its ‘Kab Milega’ campaign, aiming to highlight key issues related to Jharkhand and question the Modi government’s one-eyed stance towards the state.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren recently raised the issue of Rs 1.36 lakh crore in unpaid coal royalty dues, writing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for intervention. Soren cited a Supreme Court decision, emphasizing the state’s right to collect mining royalties without limits, asserting that the unpaid dues were hindering Jharkhand’s development and delaying the implementation of welfare schemes. He urged the Prime Minister to take action and ensure that the interest on the overdue amount was paid to Coal India and its subsidiaries until the full sum was cleared.

JMM central spokesperson Vinod Pandey accused the BJP of spreading misinformation and ignoring the state’s real concerns. He criticized BJP leaders for failing to pressurize the central government on Jharkhand’s pending royalty payments. Pandey added that while BJP leaders focused on attacking Chief Minister Soren, the people had recognized the party’s divisive politics based on lies and confusion, which ignored the true interests of Jharkhand.
