Jamshedpur: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha activists burnt the effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Sakchi roundabout on Thursday to protest hooting of Chief Minister Hemant Soren by a section of people present in the gathering during the PM�s programme in Ranchi.
District JMM president Ramesh Hansda said it was unfortunate that the CM of Jharkhand was heckled by a group of people present in the gathering during the PM�s programme.
He said the CM should have been allowed to speak during the programme.
�The CM was hooted during the programme by certain people having vested interest. Being the executive head of the state government, he should have been heard patiently.
Instead, the trouble-mongers started raising hooting cries at the beginning of the CM�s speech.
This is a shameful incident as it is an insult to the CM and the entire state and its people,� said the JMM leader.
