J’khand Armed Police honours dependents of its martyrs

Ranchi: Teams of Jharkhand Armed Police (JAP)-I reached the homes of martyred personnel in Ranchi and other parts of the country on Wednesday to honour them and observe ‘Mera Mati Mera Desh’ as part of ‘Amrit Mahotsav’.
The martyrs whose family members were honoured include hawildar Sahdeo Khetri and constables Raja Lamba, Kundan Tamang, Suraj Bahadur Khetri, Vikas Kumar Rana, Dhiren Tamang and Yam Bahadur from Ranchi.
The kin of hawildar Jeevan Singh Gurung and constables Krishna Kumar Khetri, Devraj Rai, Prasann Rai, Ram Chandra Sahi and Ramesh Kumar Khetri were felicitated in other parts like Dehradun and Shillong.
The families were provided with shawls, fruits, Gorkha cap and bouquet. The personnel spoke to the relatives about the contributions made by the martyrs and listened to the problems faced by the family members. The dependents stressed on the need for facilities like housing for the remaining service period of the departed. Some said they faced difficulties in providing education to the children.
