Jamshedpur: Former Tata Steel MD JJ Irani and his wife Daisy Irani paid tributes to JN Tata on the premises of Ram Mandir, Bistupur, on the occasion of his 178th birth anniversary here on Friday.
The couple lit a ceremonial lamp on the occasion in the presence of the temple committee members and other dignitaries.
The couple took blessings from the gods after performing worship. Thereafter, they distributed saris and dhotis among poor people. A feast was also organized for 400 people in the afternoon.
Among others present on the occasion included the temple committee president CH Shankar Rao, BB Appa Rao, Narsingh Rao, RK Murty, G Nagesh, PL Rao, CR Rama Rao, Sai Ishwar, D Gopi and T Govind Rao.
