Jamshedpur, May 8: Former BJP state president Dr Dineshanand Goswami has urged Chief Minister Hemant Soren to waive payment of fees of private schools for the lockdown period. He cited that most parents and guardians of children studying in these institutions have suffered hindrances in their earning ways during this period.
Dr Goswami admitted that the contribution of private schools in providing primary and middle levels school education was very important. The BJP senior leader urged the Chief Minister to provide grants to such schools so that the salaries of teachers and staff members were not affected. He also asked the state government to chalk out a route map for the educational session. The government should make a policy to streamline value based online education system while underlining social distancing norms. A policy for next years courses should be framed in the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr Goswami observed.
