Discussion held on drought situation and early problem redressal
Ranchi, August 20: Under the chairmanship of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, a meeting of UPA MLAs and ministers from JMM, Congress and RJD was held on Saturday at the Chief Minister’s residence on Kanke Road, Ranchi. This meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren, was important in many ways regarding the development of Jharkhand. In this meeting, the ministers and MLAs discussed the drought situation due to low rainfall region wise with the Chief Minister. During this, the MLAs told the Chief Minister that the problems being faced by them regarding development works in their area should be resolved soon.
In the meeting chaired by Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren, there were intense discussions on many other important issues as well. Chief Minister Hemant Soren, considering all the points seriously, assured of full cooperation by the state government on the issues of public interest raised by the ministers and MLAs of the ruling party. The Chief Minister said that our government is a government of people’s aspirations. To work together for the people of all sections and communities of the state without any discrimination. With the aim of accelerating the pace of development in the state, every scheme of the government has to be taken from village to village, house to house and to the last person who is waiting for development.
The meeting show solidarity on behalf of the ruling alliance in Jharkhand. It was discussed that if the Election Commission takes an adverse decision on the membership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren in the meeting, then the government will make a strategy on it. However, putting an end to these speculations, the UPA meeting was completely focused on the drought and the region-wise problems of the MLAs. Only 37 MLAs of JMM, Congress and RJD were present in the meeting. Congress Legislature Party leader Alamgir Alam said that the meeting was called in view of the drought situation in the state due to less rainfall. In the meeting, all the MLAs told the Chief Minister that the problems being faced in the development work in the area should be resolved soon. The Chief Minister, after listening seriously to the problems of the MLAs, assured that the government would issue a special phone number. All the MLAs, whatever the problems of the area, they will be able to give information directly on this particular number. The government will take immediate action on this.
The Chief Minister said that our government is a government of people’s aspirations. Without any discrimination, the government is working together for the people of all sections and communities of the state. The government is planning to accelerate the pace of development in the state. The MLAs must work on this that the schemes related to development have to be taken to the last person from village to village, house to house.
At the same time, apart from the three MLAs arrested in Kolkata (Irfan Ansari, Naman Bixal Kondari and Rajesh Kachyap) other MLAs who were absent at meeting included JMM MLA Basant Soren, Chamra Linda, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Sameer Mohanty and Congress’s Bhushan Bara, Shilpi Neha Tirkey, Poornima Neeraj Singh and Mamta Devi.
