Jamshedpur: In a major breakthrough, the collaborative efforts of the West Singhbhum District Police and CRPF have yielded success in the ongoing special operation against CPI Maoists. The joint team successfully apprehended three Naxalites, uncovering a substantial cache of explosives and related materials in the process.

Since October 10, security forces have been engaged in a special operation targeting Naxalites in the challenging terrains of the Tonto and Goilkera police station areas of West Singhbhum district. The operation, set amidst dense forests and mountains, has focused on dismantling Maoist activities in the region.
The latest achievement came as a result of precise intelligence, leading to the arrest of Naxalites from Husi village in the Tonto police station area. The apprehended individuals have been identified as Debay Purti, Juria Bahanda alias Mata of Huspi in Tonto police station area, and Labiya Boipai of Boypaissang village in the Goilkera police station area.
Providing insights into the arrests, Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Shekhar stated, “These three accused have been implicated in numerous incidents orchestrated by Maoists. Superintendent Ashutosh Shekhar further highlighted the accused’s involvement in various cases, ranging from attacks on police camps to planting IEDs, directional bombs, and pressure bombs targeting security forces in Tonto and Goilkera police station areas.

They were responsible for blowing up a tractor in transit,” added SP Ashutosh Shekhar, underscoring the gravity of the charges against the arrested Naxalites.
