Jamshedpur: A grand district level function was organized at Town Hall, Sidhgora, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda and celebrate Jharkhand State Foundation Day. The event saw the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including the Minister of Health, Medical Education, Family Welfare, and Disaster Management Department, Banna Gupta, who graced the occasion as the chief guest.
The distinguished gathering included key figures such as District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri, Senior Superintendent of Police Kishore Kaushal, Deputy Development Commissioner, SDM Dhalbhum, ASP, ADM Law and Order, and various other officials.
The highlight of the event was the distribution of assets worth more than Rs 11 crore 20 lakh among the beneficiaries of various government schemes. The chief guest and senior officials of the district took part in distributing the assets, benefitting over 110 individuals and groups.
The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the chief guest and other dignitaries. The Deputy Development Commissioner delivered the welcome address, setting the tone for the celebration.
Several welfare schemes were highlighted during the event, with a focus on their impact on diverse sections of society. The schemes covered a wide range, from Phulo Jhano Ashirwad Scheme to Chief Minister Pashudhan Vikas Yojana, spanning across departments such as Health, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and more.
To enhance public awareness, 16 departments set up stalls at the venue, providing information about various government schemes. The Minister, after inspecting the stalls, directed officials to ensure the widespread implementation of these schemes for the benefit of the public.
In addition to the distribution of assets, a message of environmental protection was conveyed through the planting of saplings by the Minister, District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner, and Senior Superintendent of Police.
In his address, Banna Gupta paid tribute to Lord Birsa Munda and all the brave martyrs, extending his wishes on the State Foundation Day. He emphasized the government’s commitment to the development of Jharkhand and highlighted various welfare schemes benefiting people across age groups and social strata.
Manjunath Bhajantri outlined the district administration’s efforts to reach remote and rural areas with government schemes. He announced the ‘Aapki Yojana, Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar’ program, aiming to extend the benefits of government schemes to the people in inaccessible areas.
Senior Superintendent of Police Kishore Kaushal congratulated everyone on the State Foundation Day, acknowledging the responsibility of all individuals and organizations in contributing to the state’s development journey. He urged collective efforts to propel Jharkhand to new heights.
The district-level function concluded with a sense of optimism, reflecting the commitment of the government and the community to the progress and prosperity of Jharkhand.
