Ranchi, Sept. 19: Underlining the need for skill development in Jharkhand, Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said the youths of the state will be made skilled and provided self-employment opportunities through a number of schemes in the coming days.
The CM made the announcement while addressing a gathering on the occasion of signing of an agreement between state government and training service provider. He also inaugurated Cisco Networking Academy in the colleges of the state.
The CM said as many as 42 companies were selected for running skill development programmes across the state. “These companies will start their work very soon to rein in unemployment in the state. People can be made self reliant through skill development.
The government wants villagers to become entrepreneurs. Physically challenged children will be trained to be self dependent. In the coming time, the state will witness huge investment. These companies will require quality manpower which we will supply,” he said.
Education Minister Neera Yadav, Chief Secretary Raj Bala Verma, Principal Secretary to the CM Sanjay Kumar, Higher and Technical Education Department Secretary Ajay Kumar Singh and representatives of different colleges and institutions were also present on this occasion.
