Jharkhand police personnel celebrate restoration of compensatory leave with CM 

Ranchi, August 25: Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that the enthusiasm of the policemen of the state is being seen.

“Today is not Holi, yet our policemen brothers have created a Holi-like atmosphere on the streets,” said Hemant Soren  reacting to the celebration of the the policemen of Jharkhand Police Men’s Association who came to the Chief Minister’s residence on Thursday.

 Today, the Police Men’s Association was thanking the Chief Minister on behalf of the policemen for implementing the compensatory leave in the state as before. The team of I Men’s Association shared their happiness with the Chief Minister by feeding sweets to the Chief Minister and smearing colours and playing traditional music.

The Chief Minister said that it has always been our endeavor that every employee of the state can work fearlessly with an open mind and give a new direction to the state. He said that the policemen of our state are deployed from the jungles to the city. They all have personal lives, personal feelings. They also have the right to live with dignity. We will always try our best to give respect to all of them.

It has been decided to restore the facility of giving 20 days compensatory leave every year to the employees working in Jharkhand Police from the rank of police inspector to Class IV., the Chief Minister had given approval to send the proposal in this regard to the cabinet in June and after its nod it was implemented on Thursday.

It is worth mentioning that in April last year, it was decided to give one month extra salary per year to these state police personnel and 20 days of compensatory leave was withdrawn from them. Last year, it was clarified in the order issued from the office of the Director General of Police, ‘One month’s salary (equivalent to basic pay and dearness allowance) to the constable, constable, assistant sub-inspector, sub-inspector and inspector along with the fourth class employees of Jharkhand Police will be paid extra while the compensatory leave facility was cancelled.
