Jamshedpur, Oct 18: Under the guidance of the Director General and Inspector General of Police, Jharkhand, the state police, along with COBRA, CRPF, Jharkhand Jaguar, and other central paramilitary forces, have been conducting sustained operations against all naxal organizations, yielding significant successes in recent months.
Top leaders of the banned CPI (Maoist) — including Misir Besra, Anmol, Mochu, Anal, Asim Mandal, Ajay Mahto, Sagen Angaria, and Ashwin — along with their squads, remain active in the Kolhan-Saranda region, carrying out anti-national activities and targeting police and security forces.
Based on timely intelligence, co-ordinated operations are regularly conducted by Jharkhand Police, COBRA, CRPF, and Jharkhand Jaguar to neutralize these threats.
On the night of October 9-10, naxalites damaged a culvert in the Ratamati area under Chhotanagpur police station by planting an IED.
Following this incident, a case was registered on October 10, under sections 326 (B), 3(5) of BNS, 4 of the Public Property Damage Act-1984, Sections 3/4/5 of the Explosives Act, and 17 CLF Act, and investigations were initiated.
Acting on technical and human intelligence, police successfully arrested two naxal squad members involved in the incident:
Arrested Naxalites:
1) Albret Lomga, alias Rengo Lomga, approx. 19 years old, son of Joseph Lomga, resident of Gram Sinkal, Bandgaon Police Station, West Singhbhum, Chaibasa; currently residing at Nurda, Chhotanagpur police station.
2) Vikas Lomga, alias Rapa Lomga, alias Gabri Lomga, alias Balka Lomga, approx. 20 years old, son of Late Satri Lomga, resident of Gram Sinkal, Bandgaon police station, West Singhbhum, currently residing at Nurda, Chhotanagpur police station.

Jharkhand police has appealed to those involved in naxal activities to avail the state government’s surrender and rehabilitation schemes and reintegrate with mainstream society.
