Ranchi, February 17: The budget session of the Jharkhand Assembly is expected to be tumultuous. The ruling party and the opposition are face to face regarding this budget session starting from 24 February. Both are busy preparing their own strategies.
The opposition BJP has made a strategy to surround the government regarding the budget session which will run till 27 March. Which will be approved in the meeting to be held on 23 February. Here, the ruling Congress has also called a meeting of its legislature party on 23 February. After this, there will be a joint meeting of the ruling party JMM, Congress and RJD.
BJP spokesperson Rafia Naz says that the opposition will want to know from the government in the House what happened to the promises made during the elections.
BJP has prepared to corner the government in the House on many issues including gas cylinders at subsidized rates, MSP of paddy to Rs 3200, Mainiya Samman Yojana. Apart from this, preparations are also being made to raise the flaws of the OBC survey conducted for the municipal elections in the House.
On the other hand, the ruling party is also ready to give a befitting reply to the opposition’s preparations. If Congress spokesperson Rakesh Sinha is to be believed, a strategy will be made on February 23. If the opposition does not allow the House to function, it will hinder the solution of the basic problem of the state. The opposition does not have any issue and deliberately keeps conspiring to defame the government, so we are also ready to give a befitting reply to it.
With the aim of conducting the budget session of the Legislative Assembly, which will run till March 27, peacefully, Speaker Ravindra Nath Mahato has called a high-level meeting on February 21 in which top officials of the state will be present.
The Speaker of the Legislative Assembly will also hold a meeting with the leaders of various parties. In which Chief Minister Hemant Soren will also be present. However, the suspense remains due to the Leader of the Opposition not being announced yet. It remains to be seen who will be present from the BJP in this meeting.
Amidst all this, during the budget session of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly starting from February 24, the budget for the financial year 2025-26 will be presented in the House by Finance Minister Radhakrishna Kishore on March 3. Apart from this, preparations are also being made to bring several bills by the government during the session.
