Jharkhand needs organized healthcare infrastructure: Jairam Ramesh

Ranchi, Feb 1: Union Minister for Rural Development Jairam Ramesh today said there was need for a setting up a well-organized healthcare infrastructure in the state of Jharkhand.

Speaking at a meeting, he asked the Heath Department officials to explore possibilities in this respect.

At the meeting held at the Project Building, the Union Minister heard the proposals of various districts.

Chief Secretary R.S. Sharma said that there is a need to set up long-term plans for efficient multi-specialty hospitals and medical colleges in the state. He also said that land acquisition process for infrastructure development should be transparent.

Former Chief Secretary P.P. Sharma, Principal Secretary Revenue J.B. Tubid, Principal Secretary Personnel S.K. Sathpathy, Principal Secretary Health Department, B.K. Tripathi, Housing Secretary Smt. Aradhana Patnaik along with officials of different departments were present at the meeting.
