Ranchi, Feb 1: Chief Minister Hemant Soren today launched the “Golden Hour System” of the Jharkhand Police.
This system has been started with combined effort of the State police, Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries and different hospitals of the city.
Launching the system at the Police Control Complex, he said that the government would help in strengthening it.
The Chief Minister said for the victims of road accident every moment was important and by providing medical help in the first one hour, many lives can be saved.
He said that all should cooperate for the success of the scheme. The hospital management has to ensure treatment of the injured in the first instance and other formalities should follow later. The government would ensure that poor did not succumb for want of money.
He said that the government is serious in providing better healthcare right from the urban to rural areas. One example of this was the start of the Super-specialty Block at RIMS.
The government has already started e-rahat. There was need for wide publicity for the success of these programmes.
He said that with cooperation of the hospitals the “the golden hour” system can become a success and thanked the 25 hospitals that have joined it.
He said that the government had taken steps to implement the ambulance system by dialing toll free number 108 .
Speaking on the occasion Assembly Speaker Shahansk Shekar Boghta said that the new imitative indicated at the people of Ranchi were sensitive to human values.
On the occasion, former Speaker and MLA Shri C. P Singh, D.G. P Shri Rajiv Kumar, Principal Secretary Home Shri N.N Pandey was also present.
