Jamshedpur, Nov 29: The School Education and Literacy Department has initiated a comprehensive plan to ensure improved results in the upcoming Class 10 and 12 board examinations. Pre-tests for students will commence on December 9, followed by model tests, as per a directive issued by the department’s Secretary-in-Charge to all District Education Officers.

Schools have been instructed to prepare one set of subject-wise question papers for the pre-tests and five sets for the model tests. The pre-test question papers must be submitted to the district office by December 7, with evaluations to be completed within three days post-examination. Teachers are being appointed at the district level to oversee the preparation and evaluation process.

Timeline for evaluations and parent meetings

The evaluation of answer sheets for both tests must be completed by December 23. Schools will maintain class-wise grading records in registers, and results will be shared with parents during meetings scheduled for January 7 in all high schools. During these meetings, students’ performances will be presented to parents, and detailed discussions on their results will take place.

Deputation of teachers and special classes

To address teacher shortages in subject-specific areas, secondary and higher secondary government schools have been directed to arrange for teachers’ deputation three days a week during December and January. Following the pre-tests, two-hour daily practice sessions focusing on the model tests will be conducted during the remaining working days to further strengthen students’ preparation.

Focus on individual student performance

The initiative also includes a detailed analysis of consolidated examination results. Based on this analysis, special classes will be arranged for students requiring additional assistance in specific subjects. The department aims to ensure a robust preparation strategy, enhancing students’ chances of success in their board exams.
