Jharkhand: Maiya Samman enhanced amount to be credited before X mas

Ranchi, December 19: There is good news for the beneficiaries of Maiya Samman Yojana. Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar has approved the second supplementary budget on Wednesday. Along with this, its notification has also been issued by the Law Department. After the release of the notification, the way has been cleared for the beneficiaries of Maiya Samman Yojana to get Rs 2500. The amount can come in the account of eligible women before Christmas.

There are about 55 lakh beneficiary women of Mainiya Samman Yojana in the state, in whose account Rs 2500 will be credited.

Earlier, under this scheme, poor women in the age bracket of 18-50 years were given Rs 1,000  . After the assembly elections, chief minister Hemant Soren has increased this amount to Rs 2500.

The JMM-Congress-RJD-CPIML government had in its manifesto announced of enhancing the amount to Rs 2500 if voted to power and assured that the enhanced amount would be credited from December onward.

CM Hemant Soren has given information by posting on social media platform X that ‘After a week from now, Khata Khata Khata Khata Khata, the honor amount will reach the accounts of all the Mainiyas – without any stop – without any interruption.

Hemant Soren also took an opportunity to attack the BJP-ruled Haryana government which was elected in October for delay in transferring the amount.

“By the way, there is no news of any search of Rs 2100 in Haryana so far – why?’

The beneficiaries of Mukhyamantri Maaniyan Samman Yojana will be investigated. If any ineligible beneficiary is found during the investigation, then his name will be removed from the list of beneficiaries of the scheme. Director of Social Security under Women Child Development and Social Security Department, Sameera S, has given this information to all Deputy Commissioners.

In the letter sent to the Deputy Commissioner, it has been mentioned that many beneficiaries are already taking advantage of the Social Security Pension Scheme their names will be deleted.

Many beneficiaries are also taking advantage of the scheme from more than one district and many beneficiaries do not have the eligibility as per the resolution issued by the department on July 1.
