Jharkhand leading in cashless transaction: Amit Khare

Ranchi, Dec. 29: Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Development Commissioner Amit Khare today said that the state government is working on a war footing to make the state cashless and as a result, the state has shown remarkable development in this direction.

Khare said that people are being trained to carry out cashless transactions and digital payment facility has been given in 63 panchayats. It includes 25 panchayats in Hazaribagh, 12 in simdega, five in Palamu and Giridih each, two in Gumla, Bokaro, Chaibasa, Chatra, Jamshedpur and Godda each and one in Saraikela-Kharsawan, Lohardaga, Dumka and Pakur each.

Khare said that Bokaro DC Roy Mahimapat Ray and East Singhbhoom DC Amit Kumar will be felicitated on 30th December 2016 in Digi Dhan Mela conducted by Niti Aayog in New Delhi.

He said that report of digital facility of different states is accompanied which shows the government’s seriousness about cashless transaction.
