Seraikela, Oct 24: Jharkhand Journalists Association (JJA) Seraikela-Kharsawan District Committee meeting was held on Sunday at Rajnagar Weekly Haat Ground under the chairmanship of District President Bhagya Sagar Singh. State General Secretary Abhay Labh and State Joint Secretary Pratap Mishra were present in the meeting as chief guest and special guest respectively.
Various problems of journalists were discussed in the meeting. It was decided to fill and submit membership forms at the earliest, to organize meetings in each block, to make the organization active and to constitute Seraikela and Chandil sub-division committees after Chhat Utsav.
State General Secretary Abhay Labh said that a meeting after the COVID pandemic lull was a good initiative and that district committee meetings should be organized at block levels. “This will make the organization active and strong. JJA is the only strong organization at the state and national level. JJA is an organization to stand by the journalists in happiness and sorrow.”
JJA expressed grief over the untimely demise of journalist Akash Bhargava and prayed for the peace of the departed soul by observing two minutes silence. In the meeting, District Vice President Surendra Mardi, General Secretary Ajit Labh, Gamharia Block President Manish Kumar, Gamharia Block Membership In-charge K Durga Rao, Golak Bihari, Mahanand Pradhan, Shivcharan Mahato, Pitambar Soy and others were present.
