Jharkhand industry Secy meets Jamshedpur industrialists for redressal of grievances

Industrial officials to camp in Adityapur Industrial Area to resolve problems 

Ranchi, September 24: As part of its efforts to reach out to industrialists to address their grievances in the state, Jharkhand industry secretary Pooja Singhal on Friday met the industrial organisation representatives from Jamshedpur at Ranchi.

During the meeting, Pooja Singhal said that the department is constantly taking feedback from industrial organizations to remove bottlenecks in the operation of industries and address grievances at the earliest.

“We had in the past met industrial organizations of Ranchi. Now the opinion of industrial organizations of Jamshedpur is being taken,” said Singhal.

 Officers of all departments related to smooth operation of industries were also present on the occasion, so that inter-departmental coordination is maintained.

“We are on track for reforms. An attractive investment strategy has been formulated in the newly launched Jharkhand Industry and Investment Promotion (JIPP) 2021. The case is being executed under single window. Now any applicant can track his/her application status online,” said Singhal.

Representatives shared their problems faced in the operation of the industry.

Representatives of various industrial organizations present in the meeting discussed the issue related to the service of various departments such as labor, employment, training and skill development, pollution control board, electricity supply and distribution corporation for better industrial environment.

They demanded for better transparency and accountability in the day-to-day work of industries along with electricity distribution c (Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited). Apart from this, attention was drawn towards restoration of all facilities including parking in industrial complexes.

The industry department officials assured that they would soon visit Adityapur Industrial Area and resolve the issues raised during the meeting.

About 60 representatives of Laghu Udyog Bharati, Adityapur Small Scale Industries and Dalit India Chamber were present in the meeting held under the industry secretary and industry director Jitendra Kumar Singh along with presence of officials from Forest and Environment Department, Energy Department, Commercial Tax Department, Labour Department, Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board and JIADA.

Incidentally, last week,  industry secretary, Pooja Singhal held a meeting with functionaries of Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FJCCI) and Jharkhand Small Industries Association (JSIA) at a private hotel in Ranchi.

“The state government apart from attracting new investments is committed to solving problems of investors who are existing in the state. It is the endeavour of the government that the applications of all investors are executed in time under the single window system. It is the priority of the department and the government to clear the pending applications for the establishment of industries in the state,” said Singhal.

The industry secretary announced about government forming rural industry policy.

“Following directive of the Chief Minister, major changes have been made in the policies of labour and industry of the state. The government is also preparing rural Industries Policy, so that steps can be taken towards the establishment of agro-based industries in rural areas,” said Singhal.

 She said that monthly review will be held with the officials of the departments concerned so that entrepreneurs do not face any problem related to setting up any kind of industries in the state and entrepreneurs would also be able to participate in that review meeting.
