Ranchi, May 10: issued notice to former CM Hemant Soren in the case registered against ED officers under SC-ST Act.
Through the notice, Hemant has been instructed to file his response in this matter.
A hearing was held in the High Court on ED’s petition requesting to hand over the FIR registered against ED officials under SC-ST Act to CBI or other independent agency.
During the hearing in the case, the court issued a notice to the defendant former CM Hemant Soren and sought his reply. The next hearing of this case will be after the summer vacation of the High Court. Advocates Amit Kumar Das and Saurabh Kumar presented arguments on behalf of ED.
Along with this, the court has today kept the order of stay on the notice given by Ranchi Police under Section 41A against ED officers till the next hearing.
Significantly, in the SC-ST case registered by the then CM, Hemant Soren a notice of 41A was issued to the ED officers. In this case, Ranchi Police has sent a notice to ED officers as well as media groups.
