Jharkhand High Court appointed commission visit Jamshedpur to check building law violation 

Jamshedpur, October 29: On the orders of Jharkhand High Court, a three-member commission team reached Jamshedpur to investigate the buildings built in violation of laws under Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) laws.

The Commission team saw and investigated buildings in many areas including Sakchi and Bistupur.

Amidst tight security, the members of the commission constituted by the Jharkhand High Court looked at all the aspects and checked the ground reality.

Incidentally, Jharkhand High Court had constituted a commission to investigate the cases of illegal construction and illegal building as well as violation of building bylaws in Jamshedpur city.

Three senior advocates have been included in the commission, including Rajnandan Sahay, Sudarshan Srivastava and Pandey Neeraj Rai.

The division bench of Jharkhand High Court Chief Justice Sanjay Kumar and Justice Anand Sen had issued this order while hearing the petition of petitioner Rakesh Jha, a resident of Jamshedpur.

The advocates included in the commission will investigate on four points. The commission has to say whether there has been large-scale violation of permissions, building byelaws, 2016 and approved plans in the construction of buildings. It will also find out if Deputy Commissioner  East  Singhbhum and JNAC are taking any steps to comply with the rules governing construction of residential and commercial houses?

It will also found out if there any violations of traffic rules and does each market have adequate space for vehicle parking and If there are unauthorized parking.

The Commission will also report whether the orders dated 28 February 2011 to 12 July 2011 passed in Writ Petition (PIL) 1076/2011 have been complied with by the respondents or not? The court directed that the report be submitted within six weeks.

The commission team said that they have looked into the entire matter and they will submit the report to the High Court. These people found that earlier orders have been violated and commercial work has been done in the parking area.
