Appointment letters to be distributed to NHM recruits today
Jamshedpur, April 20: Jharkhand Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari visited Sadar Hospital on Sunday evening to inspect the infrastructure and ongoing medical services. During the visit, he reviewed healthcare facilities and took stock of the hospital’s preparedness to handle patient load and ensure efficient service delivery.

On Monday, April 21, a ceremonial event will be held at Town Hall, Sidhgora, where the Health Minister will distribute appointment letters to newly recruited contractual employees under the National Health Mission (NHM). Dr. Ansari will attend the event as the chief guest and personally hand over the appointment letters to the selected candidates.
The recruitment drive includes key posts such as ANM-RCH, Staff Nurse-RCH, GNM-CHC NCD Clinic, Pharmacist-RBSK, Social Worker-RBSK, Ophthalmic Assistant, and Nutritional Counselor-MTC. These positions are vital for strengthening public health services, especially in rural and underserved areas.
The event is scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM. The Civil Surgeon Office has made all necessary arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the ceremony. Security has been tightened, and the venue has been fully prepared to welcome dignitaries, candidates, and their families.
This mass appointment is viewed as a major step toward addressing human resource shortages in the state’s healthcare system. It is also expected to boost the morale of newly appointed candidates stepping into the field of public health. NHM officials, local health authorities, and family members of the recruits are expected to attend the event.
