Jharkhand Health Minister inaugurates labour rooms at Primary Health Centers in Jamshedpur, 187 Medical Workers appointed

Jamshedpur: In a significant push to strengthen healthcare delivery in rural areas, Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari on Monday inaugurated labour rooms and cold chain facilities at three key Primary Health Centers (PHCs) in Lavjoda (Patamda), Ghorabandha, and Asanbani (Potka) in East Singhbhum district. Alongside, he formally launched the statewide Haat-Bazaar Health Camp Campaign, aimed at taking essential medical services to underserved tribal and remote communities.

Speaking at the district-level ceremony held at Town Hall, Sidhgora, the Health Minister emphasized the state government’s commitment to improving the health system and said that “enhancing infrastructure and deploying trained personnel to every corner of the state is a top priority.” Dr. Ansari added that the government is actively recruiting and appointing doctors and paramedical staff from medical colleges to rural and urban health centers to bridge the care gap.

The occasion also witnessed a celebratory moment for 187 newly appointed contractual health workers, who received their appointment letters under the National Health Mission (NHM). The appointments include 130 ANM-RCHs, 37 Staff Nurses-RCH, 3 GNMs for CHC NCD Clinics, 12 Pharmacists under RBSK, 1 Social Worker, 1 Ophthalmic Assistant, and 3 Nutritional Counselors for MTC.

The program saw participation from a wide range of dignitaries including Education Minister Ramdas Soren, MLA Baharagora Samir Mohanty, MLA Jugsalai Mangal Kalindi, District Council President Bari Murmu, Vice President Pankaj Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal, Deputy Development Commissioner Aniket Sachan, SDM Dhalbhum Shatabdi Majumdar, and Civil Surgeon Dr. Sahir Pal.

Health Minister Dr Ansari said that along with the construction of infrastructure in the field of health, doctors and paramedical staff are being appointed from all the medical colleges to the primary health centers of the state. Under this, appointment letters are being distributed through the District Health Committee. The government is continuously working in this direction to provide education and health facilities to every person of the state. The government’s goal is that the health services and system of the state should be the best in the entire country, work is being done in this direction. He said that no one can stop the state from progressing if the education and health system of the state improves.

MLA Baharagora Samir Mohanty expressed his views on setting up dialysis centers for kidney patients in Ghatsila subdivision and health centers in Gudambanda block. He said that there is a need to further strengthen the health service in rural areas, doctors and health workers should come on time, give proper advice to the patients.

MLA Jugsalai Mangal Kalindi said that women of rural areas have to come to the city for ultrasound. He demanded installation of ultrasound machines in health centres in rural areas. He also congratulated the newly appointed medical staff and wished them a bright future.
