Jamshedpur, Sept 23: JD (U) state president and former parliamentarian Salkhan Murmu, in a press communiqu mentioned that Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Sorens observation that the BJP government had divided the state was misleading and against the Adivasi-Moolvasi spirit.
The JD (U) state president justified the former BJP government in the state for implementing class III and IV grade staff recruitment reserved exclusively for residents of the 13 schedule districts. He said that the High Courts decision to nullify such recruitments had led the Chief Minister and JMM camp to celebrate as their victory and BJPs loss but he mentioned that the JMM had no idea about the provisions of the schedule area. Had they known about the schedule area provisions, the JMM would have formed TAC (Tribal Advisory Committee) by now and armed with its provisions could have protected the rights of the schedule areas. That is why, the teachers whose job recruitment has been annulled by the High Court should unite and move the Supreme Court and Hemant Soren himself should pave the way, Salkhan Murmu said.
Murmu mentioned in the press release that since the formation of Jharkhand neither the BJP nor the JMM had sincerely worked for the betterment of the Adivasi-Moolvasi communities. Both, the BJP and JMM had deluded the people and they are the ones who are suffering the consequences. JD (U) stands by the teachers who have been at the receiving end of the High Court decision.
