Jharkhand govt trying to solve loan problems due to CNT/SPT: CM

Ranchi, August 13: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that we have to promote the economic activities of the tribes, to lead the new generation towards education

Addressing the second foundation day and annual meeting of All India Santhal Bankers Employees Welfare Society at Dhatkidih Community Hall through virtual medium, Soren said that due to the merger of banks and due to privatization the number of jobs is decreasing and focus should be on self-employment.

“Through Chief Minister Employment Generation Program (CMEGP), the government is providing self-employment opportunities to the youth of the exploited and deprived society. The society should make every effort to benefit the tribal and backward class people from the schemes being run in the bank. Due to CNT and SPT Act, many needy are not able to get loan from the bank. The government is working to solve this problem. With the joint efforts of the government and the banks, public welfare schemes are being given a big shape,” said Soren.

“We are working to solve problems of tribal and trying to accelerate the parameters of development. The government is becoming their guarantor so that the farmer brothers associated with agriculture do not face any problem in taking loans. Loans are also made available to them under KCC card. When such rural farmers come to the bank for loan, they need to provide all possible help. In such a situation, bankers must help all those needy people,” appealed Soren.

Chief Minister also appealed to the Bankers Group to provide help to the young entrepreneurs of TICCI by coordinating with them.

The program was also attended by tribal welfare minister Champai Soren, Ghatshila MLA Ramdas Soren among others.
