Saraikela, Aug 17: Jharkhand Transport Minister Champai Soren unfurled the national flag at the Birsa Munda Stadium on the occasion of the 74th Independence Day celebrations. He extended his best wishes to the residents of the district. Champai Soren rich tributes to the freedom fighters, martyrs and forefathers who had struggled to attain the country�s independence from British rule. He paid tributes to the sons of this soil (Jharkhand) who played prominent roles in the freedom struggle.
State Minister Champai Soren observed on the occasion, �Jharkhand is a state rich in minerals, agriculture and forests. The Hemant Soren government is committed to towards Jharkhand�s progress and making it an ideal state. The state government will ensure that the glow of development and progress reaches the last man.
Champai Soren was effusive in his praise for health workers, police and district administration and said, �It is because of their untiring efforts and commitment at the cost of their own health that the COVID infection has been controlled so far. I offer my respect and gratitude to them. The citizens should applaud these actual Corona Warriors.�
Among the top officials present on the occasion were Deputy Commissioner Iqbal Alam Ansari, SP M Arshi and SDO Dr Basharat Qayum.
