Ranchi, February 22: Jharkhand Governor C. P Radhakrishnan has asked the chief secretary to take action following letter of Independent MLA Saryu Roy on changing Jamshedpur into an Industrial Area Committee.
Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy said that in connection with the legal discrepancies in the decision of the cabinet of Jharkhand Government to change Jamshedpur from Notified Area Committee to Industrial Area Committee, the Governor C. P Radhakrishnan has asked the Chief Secretary of Jharkhand Government to take necessary action.
Significantly, MLA Saryu Roy had sent a letter to the Governor on 31 December 2023 and requested him to intervene in this matter.
The principal secretary to the Governor has sent a letter to the chief secretary of the state enclosing a copy of Saryu Roy’s letter and has asked him to take necessary action in the subject matter.
According to Roy it is expected that the Chief Secretary will take necessary action to remove the legal anomalies in the Cabinet’s decision to constitute the Industrial Area Committee in Jamshedpur, otherwise this decision of the Council of Ministers will fall into controversy and become meaningless.
In such a situation, after this letter, a new problem has arisen regarding making Jamshedpur an industrial town.
Now, it remains to be seen what action the government takes in this matter.
