Jharkhand Governor attends 705th eye camp in Jamshedpur, hails efforts of Red Cross  

Jamshedpur: Governor CP Radhakrishnan on Tuesday attended the 705th Netra Jyoti Mahayagya organised at Ram Manohar Lohia Nethralaya in Bagbera. Organised by the Red Cross Society, Governor Radhakrishnan took a compassionate step by personally interacting with patients, inquiring about their well-being.

The highlight of the event was the Governor’s symbolic act of opening the blindfolds of three cataract patients who had recently undergone successful operations. To add a touch of empowerment, the Governor provided them with black glasses, symbolizing a newfound clarity of vision and a hopeful journey towards brighter futures.

The event witnessed the esteemed presence of other dignitaries, including Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri, Senior Superintendent of Police Kaushal Kishore, and Red Cross honorary secretary Bijay Kumar. A warm welcome was extended to the Governor upon his arrival, with the Deputy Commissioner and Senior Superintendent of Police presenting him with a bouquet of flowers. The occasion was further graced by a guard of honor by the district administration, demonstrating the collective respect and gratitude towards Governor Radhakrishnan’s participation.

The 705th Netra Jyoti Mahayagya not only showcased the Governor’s commitment to public welfare but also symbolized a collective effort towards bringing light and vision to those in need. The event resonated with the spirit of compassion, hope, and community engagement, marking a significant milestone in the journey towards a brighter and more inclusive society.

Prior to this, a ceremonial guard of honor was presented by the district administration upon his arrival, setting the tone for a dignified and memorable visit. The Governor, serving as the Chief Guest, played a pivotal role in the Netra Jyoti Mahayagya.

The gracious welcome extended to His Excellency included a warm reception by the District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner and Senior Superintendent of Police, who presented a bouquet of flowers upon his arrival at the venue. The gesture symbolized the community’s collective respect and gratitude for the Governor’s esteemed presence.

Given the significance of the event, stringent security measures were implemented by the district administration to ensure the safety of His Excellency the Governor. Meticulous preparations were made to facilitate smooth traffic arrangements and ensure the convenience of city residents during the VIP movement.

Deputy Commissioner, Manjunath Bhajantri, and Senior Superintendent of Police, Kishore Kaushal, were actively present at the program venue. They provided necessary directions to administration and police officers, emphasizing the maintenance of law and order to ensure a secure and harmonious atmosphere throughout the event.
