Ranchi, Oct 23: Jharkhand MNREGA commissioner Rajeshwari B has written a letter to the Deputy Commissioners (DCs) and Deputy Development Commissioners (DDCs) of all the districts and directed them to conduct the activities related to “Gramin Ki Aas, MGNREGA Se Vikas Abhiyan” in their respective districts.
The letter informs about the important points of the campaign and its objectives. It has been told that regular employment day and Gram Sabha are to be organized under this campaign. Along with this, to provide employment to all the families interested and to ensure maximum participation of women and members of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe. Bring about increase in average man-days per family, issue and renewal of job cards, verification of job card, implementation of at least five to six schemes per village at all times and completion of old schemes which are already running.
Employment of more and more women mates, recording the presence of more and more laborers by mate through the national portal.
It also asked for GIS based planning to ensure execution of cases detected during social audit and recovery of amount.
The letter states that with this campaign an initiative has been taken to strengthen the rural economy of the state and to provide employment to the villagers. The state government has decided to provide employment to the rural and migrant workers of the state in their villages and towns under the MNREGA scheme.
Rural development secretary Manish Ranjan has instructed that job cards should be provided to the migrant workers coming back to the state during their quarantine period so that they are engaged in MGNREGS work after quarantine period.
The state government is providing employment to the labourers of the state in their homes. This is the reason that labourers coming from outside are also working in the state by joining MGNREGA. They have full faith in the government that they will get 100 days of employment in any case.
Significantly, the government also topped this year in wage payment
In the matter of providing timely remuneration to MNREGA workers, the state of Jharkhand has topped the country. In order to get the first position in terms of timely remuneration, the government launched an employment campaign and tried to tie MGNREGA workers together for the implementation of schemes at the panchayat level.
A total of 19.14 lakh laborers have been provided employment under MGNREGA and 662 lakh man-days have been created in the current financial year 2021-22 so far. With the aim of providing employment to every willing family and laborer in their village, the government has set a target of implementation of at least 5 to 6 schemes in each village . For this, special focus is being laid on the implementation of schemes launched by the state government like Nilambar-Pitamber Jal Samridhi Yojana, Birsa Harit Gram Yojana, Veer Poto Ho Khel Vikas Yojana, Didi Bari Yojana etc.
In these schemes, emphasis is being laid on creation of quality assets by providing timely employment to all the workers. Along with providing employment to all the willing workers, emphasis is being laid on the timely implementation of all the above schemes started by the state government. At the same time, water conservation and plantation work is being implemented scientifically in mission mode.
