Jharkhand: FIR against Smriti Irani, Amit Malviya for tarnishing Ajoy Kumar name

Ranchi, July 18: Congress Jharkhand spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan Prasad lodged an FIR under various sections of IPC against Union minister Smriti Irani, BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya and BJP leader Priti Gandhi at Kotwali thana in Ranchi on Monday.

Rajiv Ranjan Prasad said that the three had misrepresented the statement of Congress national spokesperson and former Jamshedpur MP Ajoy Kumar on their social networking handles as part of a well-planned conspiracy. The statement given to the news agency ANI has been uploaded by distorting it. Prasad said that this was done to tarnish the image of  Ajay Kumar and the Congress party and tried to portray Congress as anti-tribal.

The Congress leader said that just before the election of a dignified post like President, the intention of defaming the Congress party and trying to tarnish the image of Ajoy  Kumar has been tried to tarnish it. BJP has insulted the tribal society by doing so. At the same time, Draupadi Murmu has also been insulted. Dr. Kumar had praised both the presidential candidates at the very beginning of his statement. But this statement has been deleted and the edited version has been posted in the twitter handles of the BJP leaders which is illegal under section 153-A 415, 469,499,500 & 505(2) of IPC. This has led to BJP leaders burning effigies of Ajoy Kumar and  Congress party in Jharkhand, Odisha and other states.

Prasad said that due to the political animosity of the BJP and the divisive ideology of the RSS, there should be no confusion among the tribal society, so that legal action has been demanded. He said that BJP has nothing to do with tribal empowerment or upliftment, only the game of polarization has become a habit by linking it with any society or religion under electoral gains and losses.

The Congress leader said that Amit Malviya continues to do such acts, but it is the misfortune of the country that such an illegal act has been done by Union Minister Smriti Irani by sitting on a constitutional post.
