Jamshedpur: The Jharkhand Eligibility Test (JET), organized by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC), was conducted across East Singhbhum district on Sunday. District authorities confirmed a peaceful and malpractice-free environment across all designated venues.
Candidate Turnout and Logistics
Out of the 39,265 registered candidates, a total of 19,962 candidates appeared for the test, marking an attendance of approximately 51%. The examination was facilitated across 93 centres within the district, all operating under strict JPSC guidelines.
High-Level Inspections
District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner Rajiv Ranjan and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Piyush Pandey personally monitored the proceedings. The officials conducted surprise inspections at several key institutions, including:

During these visits, the DC reviewed entry protocols and seating arrangements, while the SSP oversaw security deployment. DC Rajiv Ranjan stated that the coordinated efforts of magistrates and centre superintendents ensured the examination remained transparent and impartial.
Strict Vigilance and Security
To maintain the integrity of the test, the district administration implemented a multi-layered security strategy:

Frisking & Technology: Intensive manual frisking and the use of metal detectors were mandatory at all entry points.
