Jharkhand Elections: RJD to contest 22 seats

Jamshedpur, Oct 17: The Jharkhand State Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has announced its decision to contest 22 seats in the upcoming assembly elections. The decision was made during an important meeting of the party’s Parliamentary Board, held at the RJD office in Ranchi under the leadership of former minister Suresh Paswan.

State president Sanjay Kumar Singh Yadav declared the party’s commitment to playing a significant role in the elections. “We are focused on contesting 22 seats,” he said, adding that the selection of candidates and constituencies would be overseen by the party’s national president, Lalu Prasad Yadav.

Several key leaders and parliamentary board members, including Jharkhand government ministers Satyanand Bhokta, Dr. Manoj Kumar, Anita Yadav, and other prominent figures like Rajkumar Yadav, attended the meeting. The gathering highlighted the party’s strategic planning as it prepares for the electoral battle.
