Ranchi: National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has finalized seat sharing for the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will contest 68 seats, the AJSU party 10 seats, Janata Dal United (JDU) 2 seats, and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) (LJP) will contest on 1 seat.
AJSU party will contest from- Silli, Ramgarh, Gomia, Ichagarh, Mandu, Jugsalai, Dumri, Pakur, Lohardaga, and Manoharpur.

JDU gets 2 seats, down from initial demand of 11
Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United) has been allotted two seats. The party will field candidates in Jamshedpur West and Tamar, despite earlier demands for 11 seats.
LJP (Ram Vilas) to Contest from Chatra
Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) has secured one seat and will be contesting from the Chatra assembly constituency.
Also present at the press meet were Union agriculture minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Himanta Biswa Sarma, Ajsu Party President Sudesh Mahto and BJP’s state present Babulal Marandi.

Babulal Marandi and Sudesh Mahto emphasized their long-standing relationship and commitment to the development of Jharkhand.
“People across the state are eager for change and the present government has prioritized personal interests over public welfare,” said Sudesh Mahto.
Babulal Marandi also addressed concerns regarding the current government’s unfulfilled promises, including the failure to provide unemployment allowances to youth and support to tribal communities. He pointed out a sharp decline in Jharkhand’s tribal population, stating that the community’s interests have been neglected under the current regime.
