Ghatshila, Oct 24: The excitement surrounding the fifth assembly general election in Jharkhand is palpable, with key candidates officially entering the race. On Thursday, BJP candidate Babulal Soren and Surya Singh Besra, founder of the Jharkhand People’s Party, both filed their nominations for the Ghatsila assembly constituency.
Babulal Soren commenced his nomination journey at Phool Dungri Chowk, accompanied by a large group of supporters. The procession made its way to the subdivision office, where he completed the nomination process. He was joined by prominent party members, including BJP district president Chandi Charan Sao, Dr. Dineshanand Goswami, and Champai Soren, who lent their support during this significant moment.
In a parallel effort, Surya Singh Besra also filed his nomination before the election authority, rallying his supporters to join him in this crucial step towards contesting the election. Following his nomination, the Bharatiya Janata Party organized a public meeting at Pavada Maidan, aiming to galvanize support and share their vision with the electorate.
