Jharkhand Elections: Art festival for voter awareness at Jamshedpur’s Gopal Maidan today

Jamshedpur: In a unique effort to boost voter participation in the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections, the Jharkhand State Election Commission, in collaboration with the District Administration of East Singhbhum, is organizing a one-day Art Festival at Gopal Maidan on October 23. The event, themed “Art 81—Connecting Voters through Art,” aims to engage the public through various creative activities, promoting voter awareness.

The District Election Officer,  Ananya Mittal, has called on residents to attend the festival in large numbers, emphasizing the importance of spreading the message of voting. He has extended an open invitation to all voters, encouraging families to participate in this cultural celebration of democracy.

The Art Festival will be inaugurated at 12 noon, and will feature a wide range of interactive activities designed to educate and engage the public about the significance of voting. Highlights of the event include an open mic session, live painting, art exhibitions, karate demonstrations, mehndi and tattoo stations, quizzes, slogan writing, poster making, and yoga.

Artists from across the district will showcase their talents, addressing cultural and social concerns of the state while raising awareness about the importance of voting. Through these activities, the festival aims to make the electoral process more accessible and encourage active participation in the upcoming elections.

 Mittal urged residents to attend the festival, noting that creative and engaging initiatives like this can inspire more people to exercise their democratic rights. The event will run from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., offering a lively and informative experience for all attendees.
