Jamshedpur: The District Administration organised a district-level Pratibha Samman ceremony at Michael John Auditorium, Bistupur on Tuesday to felicitate meritorious students who topped the Class 10 and 12 examinations in the 2024–25 academic year.

Minister of School Education and Literacy Department, Jharkhand, Ramdas Soren attended the function as chief guest and congratulated the students for their exceptional performance. Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi, District Education Officer Manoj Kumar, District Education, Superintendent Ashish Pandey, and several other officials were also present.

During the ceremony, the top five students from each stream—Science, Commerce, and Arts—of Class 10 and 12 were honoured. Toppers across all education boards, including Jharkhand Academic Council, CBSE, and ICSE, were presented with mementoes and certificates in recognition of their hard work.

In his address, Minister Ramdas Soren described education as the key to progress and empowerment. “This programme has been organised to encourage all of you who have set an example with your dedication,” he said. Recalling the social transformation in tribal communities, he remarked, “Earlier, daughters’ education was not prioritised, but now mindsets are changing. Families are aware and ensure their children receive quality education.”
Highlighting government initiatives, the Minister shared that the Marang Gomke Scholarship Scheme has enabled students to pursue studies abroad at the state’s expense. “Since 2019, our government has committed to promoting education across Jharkhand. New colleges and residential schools are being approved at the block level so that no child is deprived of learning due to distance,” he added.
Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi extended his congratulations to the awardees, reminding them to remain grounded. “You have demonstrated remarkable talent. This success is a milestone, not the final destination,” he said. “Take success with humility and maintain your values. Your potential is limitless, but it requires continuous hard work. If you ever need guidance or support, do not hesitate to reach out to the district administration.”
Parents and teachers of the awardees attended the ceremony, applauding the achievements of their wards. Officials shared that such events aim not only to celebrate academic excellence but also to motivate more students to pursue education with determination.
