Ranchi, May 3: The Election Commission has started the search for eight unrecognized political parties of Jharkhand, which have been missing for a long time.
These parties neither have the address of their registered office nor do the commission have their annual reports. The commission has decided to take action against these parties.
The missing parties include Bharat Vikas Morcha, Bahujan Sadan Morcha, Bharatiya Jan Mukti Party, Jansadharan Party, Jharkhand Party Secular, Jharkhand Vikas Dal, Rashtriya Mazdoor Kisan Prajatantrik Party and Rashtriya Sengal Party.
Five of these parties were registered in Ranchi, while one each was registered in Palamu, Giridih and Deoghar.
After the investigation by the Election Commission, the recognition of 39 unrecognized political parties of Jharkhand is likely to be cancelled. The Chief Electoral Officer of Jharkhand has sent his report in this regard to the Election Commission of India and has recommended taking necessary action.
Apart from this, there are seven such unrecognized political parties which have not given the annual report to the commission.
A letter has been sent to the commission for taking necessary action against these parties as well. Let us tell you that out of the 39 unrecognized political parties in the state, three have been merged, and investigation of the remaining parties is going on.
