Jharkhand: Corruption in Seraikela Education Dept exposed through viral audio clip

Mail News Service

Seraikela, Mar 29: A major corruption scandal has come to light in the Seraikela education department, involving former District Education Officer (DEO) Santosh Kumar Gupta. His alleged corrupt activities are now being exposed, with a viral audio clip adding to the controversy.

Gupta was recently demoted and transferred to Pakur following corruption allegations. However, fresh claims have emerged through an audio conversation featuring Vasudev Ram, a subordinate teacher, who can be heard lobbying for Gupta’s reinstatement.

The conversation suggests a nexus between certain officials and a politician, though the latter’s direct involvement remains unverified. Ram, a teacher at NR Government School, openly advocates for Gupta in the audio, allegedly offering bribes to prevent his transfer.

The clip has gone viral on social media, drawing sharp criticism of the education department. Shockingly, despite widespread circulation, no official inquiry has been initiated against Ram. Sources claim that he has been using the SC/ST Act as a shield to intimidate officials.

Gupta’s history of corruption extends beyond Seraikela, with similar allegations surfacing from his tenure in Hazaribagh. The viral audio has intensified calls for a thorough investigation into the department’s malpractices and immediate action against those involved.
