Ranchi, Oct 17: Jharkhand Congress in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir on Thursday said that the first list of Congress candidates will be released after October 19.
Mir arrived in Ranchi on Thursday marking his first visit to the state after securing victory from the Dooru seat in Jammu and Kashmir. He was warmly welcomed by party workers at the airport.
He further noted that Rahul Gandhi will be visiting Ranchi on October 19. After his visit, the Central Election Committee will meet, and we expect to release the first list on October 21.
Mir also addressed the party’s internal dynamics regarding seat-sharing, mentioning, “The seat-sharing formula has almost been finalized. There will be a series of meetings from now until the 19th to ensure everything is in place.”
Additionally, he expressed plans to meet Chief Minister Hemant Soren, saying, “I will clarify any concerns regarding seat-sharing. It’s essential that we are all aligned as we head into the elections.”
