Jamshedpur, June 22: As per directives of the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee, a state wise demonstration of the party was organized today. In Jamshedpur, Congress state president Dr Ajoy Kumar led a huge delegation of party members and executives from Netaji Subhas Maidan (formerly Ambagan Maidan) in Sakchi to the Deputy Commissioners office and held a demonstration against the governments failure on all fronts.

The delegation handed a memorandum addressed to the state Governor to the ADC mentioning the pathetic conditions in the zones of power and water supply and the unabated rise in the crime graph of the district.

On the issue of power supply, the delegation contended that rampant power cuts were ruling the roost in the state. Erratic supply of electricity was taking a toll on business and industrial activities, households were being inconvenienced due to the blistering summer conditions and childrens studies were being affected adversely.

Water supply was another area of grave concern as pointed out in the memorandum.  The contention was that the district was badly hit by the scarcity of water. The government authorities concerned had failed in providing water to slum and rural areas by tankers as a result of which the denizens were feeling the pains and pangs of the water crisis.

The rising incidences of crime in the district had become a prevailing issue. Theft, dacoity, snatching and murder had become the order of the day. Bank accounts were practically being ransacked by cyber criminals who were having a field day in the district. The confidence of criminal elements has been bolstered due to the governments failure to put brakes on their activities.

The Congress delegation led by the partys state president Dr Ajoy Kumar included Ashok Chowdhary, Anand Bihari Dubey, Riyazuddin Khan, Dharmendra Sonkar Sureshdhari, Rishi Mishra, PN Jha, LB Singh, Rakesh Sahu, Surendra Sharma, Aruna Mukhi, Parwinder Singh, Usha Yadav, Bablu Jha, Gita Singh and others.
