The leaders informed Kharge about the scheduled review meeting on June 12 to analyze the party’s victories and losses in the parliamentary polls. They conveyed that the party has already commenced preparations for the upcoming assembly elections, aiming to deliver a better performance.
Mir provided Kharge with a detailed account of the circumstances surrounding each Lok Sabha seat during the elections. While acknowledging that the party fought well compared to previous elections, he acknowledged that the expected success could not be achieved. Mir stated that a thorough review of the reasons behind victories and defeats would be conducted during the June 12 meeting, scrutinizing all levels to identify areas for improvement.
Mir assured Kharge that following the Lok Sabha election results, the party’s organizational machinery has been activated to prepare for the assembly polls in Jharkhand. Efforts are underway to strengthen the organization, ensuring it remains fully prepared until the upcoming elections.
State Congress President Rajesh Thakur expressed gratitude to the public for their support, which led to the party’s success in the Lok Sabha elections. He vowed to continue the struggle for better results in the future. Thakur highlighted that the coalition government has taken measures to improve the standard of living for the people of Jharkhand, even in adverse circumstances, by implementing promises made in the manifesto, such as the Sarna Dharma Code, OBC reservation, employment generation, loan waivers for farmers, and the implementation of the old pension system.
However, Thakur noted that some bills remain pending at the central government level, and the party’s struggle continues regarding these issues. He assured that the Congress would approach the public with new and serious issues concerning Jharkhand.
