Jamshedpur, Nov. 21: Chief Minister Raghubar Das, who came to city on Tuesday evening to attend a marriage ceremony at Sakchi was delayed in returning to Ranchi for over an-hour at the Sonari aerodrome. His chopper complained off snag.
The chief minister arrived at the Sonari eerodrome at around 3.05 pm and went straight to attend a marriage ceremony of district engineer S. K Vidyarthi’s son near the Zilla Parishad office on Thakurbari Road in Sakchi. After extending his wishes to the couple and staying at Sakchi for nearly 15 minutes Chief Minister returned to Sonari aerodrome at nearly 4 pm, scheduled to fly back to Ranchi for attending the state cabinet meeting at around 5 pm.
According to information, the pilot of the chopper complained of a technical snag which prompted the State Civil Aviation Department to arrange for another copter to fly in from Ranchi to Jamshedpur.
�Chief Minister came to Sonari aerodrome after 4 pm but had to stay in the aerodrome lounge till another helicopter came from Ranchi at around 5.20 pm as the helicopter had developed technical snag,� said a police official.
