Jharkhand CM reviews budget amount sanctioned and utilised of different departments 

 Focus on geo-tagging, revenue collection, solar energy and synergy between rural works and road construction

Ranchi, January 31: Chief minister Hemant Soren reviewed budgets the amount utilised and the plan budget sanctioned of each department at Ranchi. 

“Work has been interrupted due to Covid infection. Its effect is visible in the work of some departments. Now we have to prepare for the 2022-23 budget. This time the emphasis of the government is on increasing the expenditure as well as mobilizing resources. We have to do better. The government will also require funds for the beneficiary oriented schemes of the state. For this, the departments related to revenue collection should do better work. Make such a system so that there is no loss in revenue collection,” said Hemant Soren in the meeting attended by secretaries of all departments. 

The Chief Minister said that the state government does many works under the scheme. But in many cases, the benefit of that scheme is not visible. 
“Ensure photograph and geo-tagging related to all small and big works before planting saplings. There is a plan to issue student credit cards. So that children do not face any problem in studies. Provide complete information about the construction work of hostels being built for students. Prefer geo tagging. Provide information about the work progress of the model school. Children in rural areas have been most affected by the closure of schools during the transition. There is a big gap in his studies. That gap needs to be bridged. Get the women’s college being built soon. Do the work of renovation of the existing women’s colleges,” said chief minister. 

The Chief Minister said that the Rural Works Department and the Road Construction Department need to work in coordination for the construction of roads. 
“Take care of the quality of construction of roads in rural areas. Build better roads. Work should be done on the restoration of the damaged roads. Work on making long, mid and short term plans for the roads. There is a need to pay attention to the beautification work being done in the city in a systematic manner. Work on a plan to declare certain areas of the city as safe zones. The department should do the work of repairing the damaged CCTV,” CM directed. 

The Chief Minister said that today the whole world is moving towards solar energy and Jharkhand should follow suit. 

In the meeting, the Chief Minister issued approval orders, allocation orders, expenditure status, updated status of implementation of main schemes run by the department, approval of schemes and their implementation status, receipt of funds from the Government of India in the financial year 2021-22 and gave instructions regarding the updated status of its expenditure and the preparation of the upcoming budget.
