Over 20,000 people participate in reception party at Agrico ground

Jamshedpur: Chief Minister Raghubar Das played a perfect host at his son�s wedding reception that was held at Agrico Ground and Club House on Sunday. The reception of Lalit Das, who got married to Purnima Sahu, was attended by over 20,000 people.
The Who�s who of the city including personalities from corporate houses to different political parties and social arena participated in the function. Leaders cutting across the party line participated in the function and extended their warm wishes to the newly wedded couple. On the occasion, the CM accepted greetings of the people and attracted the attention of shutterbugs.

The couple, who tied the knot on March 8 in Raipur, were the cynosure of all eyes. The bride Purnima looked her best in a traditional lehenga while Lalit looked elegant in suit.
The bride Purnima hails from Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Nicknamed �Pihu�, she is a graduate from Mahant Laxmi Narayan Das College while the groom Lalit studied engineering from BIT, Mesra. He is currently the assistant manager at HRM department of Tata Steel.
Meanwhile since evening, party leaders, corporate honchos and well-wishers poured into the Chief Minister�s residence. Das took upon the task of cajoling his guests into having generous helpings of puri, sabji, halwa, mixed vegetables and chutney along with a host of other delicacies.
The surprise on the faces of many was evident as they stood with folded hands to greet the CM, only to have him come up and meet them personally.
The party venue was decorated with beautiful flowers and lights were a 15-member team of photographers, videographers and drone camera recorded every single move of the couple, guests and the club. A large number of media-persons and crowd also jostled to capture the moment on their cameras.
In view of the safety of the people, the administration had prohibited the entry of heavy vehicles in the city from 6 am to 12 pm. Special parking arrangement was also made for the visitors at the venue.
Das will host a special reception in Ranchi on March 12 while another in New Delhi on March 14.
