Jamshedpur, September 28: Chief Minister Hemant Soren has the Saraikela-Kharsawan and East Singhbhum administration to investigate Jamshedpur training plane crash owned by Alchemist Aviation.
The CM have the orders after the victims of the plane crash’s father met with the Soren, alleging that the crash occurred due to the negligence of the aviation company. The family had given a written statement claiming that the poor condition of the aircraft led to the deaths of the instructor and trainee pilot.
The Chief Minister’s office has directed the deputy commissioners of Seraikela-Kharsawan and East Singhbhum districts to coordinate and conduct a thorough investigation into the matter. A case related to the crash had already been filed at Nimdih police station, where the local police have requested a report from the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) for further action.
Alchemist Aviation during a press conference at Beldih Club on September 25 had claimed that a stunt manoeuvre attempted by the trainee pilot and instructor of the Cessna 152 training aircraft led to the crash in Chandil Dam last month.
Mrinal Kanti Pal, managing director of Alchemist Aviation, said, “Eyewitnesses at Chandil stated that the accident occurred due to a stunt manoeuvre attempted by the trainee pilot and instructor.”
Then, Pal had also stated that deviation from the prescribed flying area could have been a factor in the mishap.
