Ranchi, Feb 3: Hemant Soren led Jharkhand government has decided to take strong step to stop illegal smuggling of mica mineral in many districts of Jharkhand.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren has approved the proposal and it will now be placed in the cabinet meeting for approval.
Incidentally, there is no clear provision in the Bihar Mica Act / Rules for the disposal of (Mica Scrap) in the state and this has led to the state government making this proposal. There are three conditions mentioned in the proposal, which will have to be complied with.
Mica scrap will be surveyed. It will mention its location, volume and quantity. This will prevent illegal smuggling of micra and chemical analysis report of mica scrap has to be obtained which will let one know its quality. The Mica Scrap which is located in the forest area, before its disposal, forest clearance and other desired documents will be obtained from the competent authority.
