Ranchi, July 14:Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren said here on Wednesday that the foundation stone for Dhumkudiya Bhawan (a site where all tribal rituals are discussed) is being laid today, which is a unique and historic step for the government as it is about ‘an attempt to connect the next generation with social values.
The Chief Minister said the above things while addressing the Bhumi Pujan in the center of Dhumkudiya Bhawan and unveiling the foundation plaque program which will be built in Karmatoli area of Ranchi.
Soren said, “Today we are all witnessing this moment. The government is moving forward with the idea that Dhumkudiya Bhawan should also be inaugurated soon. There is a lot in the word Dhumkudiya. In the tribal community, all the rituals are decided by sitting in Dhumkudiya itself and they are discussed and discussed. It is the responsibility of all of us to keep the tradition and culture of Dhumkudiya intact.”
He said that the ancestors connected us to social and cultural heritage, it is the responsibility of all of us to add to the generation to come.

He further said that the ancestors through their culture and traditions have brought the community to the present position and now it was their responsibility to take the next generation on the same path
The chief minister said that even in this period of development, the tribal community has not reached the heights it should have. The Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Welfare Department is working with commitment under the leadership of our cabinet colleague and minister Champai Soren to give impetus to tribal society on the path to development.
The chief minister said that the department’s start of construction works on Dhumkudia Bhawan is a positive move.
“I had previously also laid a foundation at Harmu in Ranchi which is known today as Sarna Sthal,” said Soren.
The chief minister said that social solidarity is the basis of a strong society. We must always stick to our culture and our social rites.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that the construction work of this to be built Dhumkudiya Bhawan with an amount of about Rs 1.5 crore will be completed within 12 months. The chief minister expressed the hope that Dhumkudiya Bhawan would inspire us to step away from politics and give a positive direction to society.
He hoped by setting aside the politics this building will inspire the people to work for progress and bringing positive changes in the society.
