Ranchi, April 11: Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren and former Chief Minister of the state Hemant Soren’s wife and JMM leader Kalpana Murmu Soren wished masses on the occasion of Sarhul.
Both of them have wished people on the occasion of the nature festival through tweets on the social media site ‘X’.
Chief Minister Champai Soren wrote on ‘X’, Johar, best wishes to all of you on the nature festival Sarhul. He further wrote in the same tweet – Sarhul’s message is that like the trees, plants, mountains, rivers, land, sun present in nature, we all should live with each other with love, brotherhood and unity and remain connected to the society.
Kalpana Murmu Soren on Hemant Soren’s X account wrote that Sarhul is a celebration of the generosity of nature.
She further wrote in it that as soon as flowers start blooming on the Sakhua trees, we once again get an opportunity to express gratitude for the priceless gifts of nature. She wrote that for generations, Sarhul has also been a sacred festival for us to remember our ancestors who protected water, forest and land.
She has written that in this era of climate change, we should pay attention to the conservation of our natural resources. The Sakhua (shawl) tree is not just an ancient symbol. Its leaves, flowers and wood are also invaluable sources of our food, medicinal and life-useful materials.
