Jharkhand CM invited for tribal fair at Mandar

Ranchi, September 25: A delegation of the historic Raji Padha Jatra Committee, Mudma of Mandar block near Ranchi met Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Saturday at Chief Minister’s Residential Office,Ranchi.

The delegation invited  Chief Minister to attend the worship ceremony of the two-day Jatra scheduled to be held on October 12, 2022, as the chief guest. The delegation has also requested the state government to provide financial support for organizing the state’s traditional historic Padha Jatra Mudma (Fair) 2022. 

The Chief Minister extended best wishes to the delegation on the occasion. On the occasion, the delegation mainly included Mandar MLA  Shilpi Neha Tirkey, religious leader and Raji Padha Jatra Committee, Chief Convener Bandhan Tigga, president Jagram Oraon, secretary Shri Ranthu Oraon and among others. 

Significantly, the two day Jatra witnesses lakhs of tribals from different parts of Jharkhand and is considered very sacred. Bandhan Tigga is revered amongst Sarna tribals in Mandar and nearby areas.
