Jamshedpur, August 8: Chief Minister Hemant Soren made a significant announcement during his visit to Jamshedpur to pay tribute to the late Nirmal Mahato. Addressing a public meeting at Uliyan ground, Soren pledged that if his party wins the upcoming assembly elections, each household in Jharkhand will receive Rs 1 lakh.

Soren emphasized Jharkhand’s mineral wealth and criticized past administrations for not compensating the state for its resources. He highlighted a Supreme Court ruling that now allows the state government to recover payments for its mineral resources, stressing the urgency to address long-pending issues.

He also outlined plans to restore promotion and pension schemes for state employees, with a focus on reinstating over 5,000 police constables within the next 15-20 days. Additionally, the government will continue providing financial support through various schemes, including the Guruji Credit Card for students and financial aid from birth to death for girls.

Soren accused efforts to destabilize his government, alleging that political conspiracies and central government manoeuvres aim to disrupt the INDI Alliance government and expedite the assembly elections to undermine their administration.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren visited Jamshedpur on Thursday to pay tribute to martyr Nirmal Mahato on the 37th anniversary of his sacrifice. The event saw the presence of former Chief Minister Champai Soren, Minister Banna Gupta, MLA Savita Mahato, and other party MLAs. Soren, while garlanding Mahato’s statue at the Kadma Uliyan program site, emphasized that Mahato’s sacrifice will never be forgotten. He seized the opportunity to target the central government, claiming that the BJP fears the development work accomplished under his leadership. Soren asserted that if assembly elections were held immediately, the BJP would face a decisive defeat.
The Chief Minister refuted accusations made against him, stating that he was falsely implicated and jailed, but ultimately secured justice. He criticized the BJP’s attempts to undermine his government’s land schemes, accusing them of ridiculing important initiatives. Soren predicted that the public would respond to these actions in the upcoming state elections, just as they did in the Lok Sabha elections.
Additionally, Soren addressed concerns about the Vinesh Phogat case, labeling it a premeditated conspiracy and urging the Government of India to take serious action. He also assured that the promises made regarding youth employment are being actively pursued, with meaningful results expected soon.
Former Ichagarh MLA Savita Mahato, her daughter, and other Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leaders joined the Chief Minister in this significant event.
